At the tip of La Rambla in the center of the Plaça de Catalunya, this monument celebrates Francesc Macià i Llussà, a Catalonian politician who spoke out for an independent Catalonia.
This sculpture, in the Plaça de Sant Miquel in Barcelona, pays homage to castellers. These Catalonians build human towers 9 or 10 people high, and they still gather to build at festivals or cultural celebrations today.
