St. Paul's Cathedral on the Thames River

My fascination with this city dates back to being a student abroad in London in 1994. Each time I return to visit with the friends I made in college, I strive to explore new spaces while visiting my favorites.

The history of the city dates back to the Romans, but its skyline was created after the Great Fire of 1666. The shape of the dome at St. Paul's Cathedral, built by Christopher Wren after the fire, dominates the landscape of the views from the Thames, despite other nearby landmarks like Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament or newer buildings like the Shard and the Gherkin.
